This website documents the exhibition Liminal Matters, a show that explores the worlds of ‘inbetween’ found in material-led art, design and crafts.
Curated by Dr Gillian Mciver also known as @the_art_traveller this timely exhibition offers an essential meditation on materiality, transition and renewal, probing themes as rich and varied as ancient history, social and emotional otherness, trauma, sensuality, the body, the natural world and the home.
Formed in the studios of the Royal College of Art, the collective brings together global artists, designers and craftspeople who all share a deep interest in exploring the Liminal spaces that exist between matter, time and light.
The exhibition features the work of 18 emerging and mid-career artists and makers. We also welcome the work of three guest artist, painters Santo Previtera and Nazir Tanbouli, and glass artist Piotr Frac.
